There’s a mantra in language teaching that experienced teachers always keep close to heart: "Always keep the focus on the learner". This is my guiding principle. This means that I am more of a facilitator than a teacher. I am trained to elicit, as much as possible, the rules, answers, and other language from you, the learner. So be prepared to do most of the talking! I am a great listener. I am experienced with students from all parts of the world and ages from 5 to 50. I love teaching kids, teenagers and adults. I have taught online, in tutoring schools, and at universities and colleges. I have taught for many years in Canada and for many years in Greece. Perhaps your interests are more academic. I have prepared students to pass TOEFL, IELTS, and other university entrance examinations. I have years of experience with the Cambridge Examinations (First Certificate, Advanced, Proficiency) and with English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
