Hello! My name is Hannah and I am excited to be your tutor! I love to travel, spend time in nature, and play with my nieces and nephew. I am currently living in Mexico City while working remotely and starting my own business! I've lived and traveled all over the US including Vermont, Alaska, Los Angeles, Colorado and New York City. In addition, I absolutely love traveling internationally, and have been to Australia, where my dad is from, Antigua (where he currently lives, on a sailboat!) the Bahamas, Mexico, Europe, Canada, Costa Rica, Peru, and Argentina. While working in the fashion industry as a denim designer, I had the privilege to travel to China and South Korea. I even lived abroad in Thailand for six months! There, I taught 1st grade remotely and was able to travel throughout the country for the duration of the semester. My favorite thing about traveling is meeting new people and getting to know about their lives and cultural backgrounds. I would be honored to be considered as your tutor and get to know you!
As I mentioned above, I worked as a fashion designer in New York for almost a decade! A couple years ago I decided to take a break from the hustle and bustle to spend time with my family and explore other career options. While fashion is always a love of mine, in this time, I've been able to find new loves including meditation, yoga, playing with my dog (when I'm at my moms house), biking, and even gardening with my mom! I love children so much and whenever I visit my nieces and nephews I like to visit their school and read books to their classes!

I am very interested in social and emotional learning and feel that the confidence of the student is imperative for the content to be absorbed. I want my students to leave my classroom (this includes my digital tutoring space!) feeling inspired and eager to learn more.
