Hello! 你好, Merhaba, Ciao, こんにちは, مرحبا, 안녕하세요, Bonjour ! My name is Lauren and it is lovely to meet you! I have 2,500+ hours of teaching experience on Cambly Kids. I love to spend time with children and enjoy making our lessons fun and interactive. I am always trying to make my students smile and feel at ease. After all, that is the best environment in which they can feel comfortable to practice speaking and interacting in the target language. My teaching style is fun and interactive but I also think it is important to adjust the lesson to fit the needs of the child and the plans of parents. It is a joy to have taught 1,486 different children (ages 3 - 18 years) during my 8 years as an ESL kids tutor with both Cambly and a Chinese based company... I hope your child will be my next new friend! (Please note: I specialize in beginner classes, and I only teach children, not adults)
I live in Ghana, West Africa with my husband. We work as volunteers in the local community and I work secularly as an online ESL tutor. I love nature, birdwatching, hiking, studying psychology, playing piano, swimming and cooking new recipes! **(I book my schedule about 1-2 weeks ahead so please let me know if you want to request a specific time slot.)

My teaching style is: ~Making friends! ~Getting to know the student so they feel happy and relaxed in class ~Encouraging conversation through having fun ~Patience, patience, patience! **Do not worry if your child is only a beginner. I am very used to helping children start to learn English through exposure to slowed down speech, visual aids and TPR(gestures and signs).
