私はアメリカで生まれましたが、子供の頃に家族と共に人道支援の仕事をするためにグアテマラに移住しました。グアテマラに住んでいる間に、すぐにスペイン語と文化に馴染みました。高校を卒業し、大学に通うために家族と共にアメリカに戻りました。その後、グアテマラに戻り、それ以来ずっとここに住んでいます！ここが私の家です！

I was born in the US, but when I was a child my family moved to Guatemala to do humanitarian work. Living in Guatemala I quickly acclimated to both the language, Spanish, and the culture. My family moved back to the US so I could finish high school and go to college. I moved back to Guatemala and have been living here ever since! This is home to me!

私の教え方は楽しくて活気があります。エネルギーを高く保ちながら、設定された目標に集中することが大切です。新しいことを学ぶのは楽しくて面白いということを生徒に思い出させることが重要です。私のクラスでは、どれだけ英語を知っているかに関わらず、全員の声が大切です。目標は快適な会話を達成し、その後に正確さに進むことです。指導、忍耐、励ましが鍵であり、私のクラスではそれが欠けることはありません。

My teaching style is fun and upbeat. The idea is to keep the energy high while remaining centered on the goals set in place. It is important to remind the students that it is fun and interesting to learn something new. In my classes, everyone’s voice matters, no matter how much English you know. The goal is to achieve comfortable conversation and then move on to accuracy. Guidance, patience, and encouragement are key, and will not be lacking in my class.
