Hi!! My name is Lisa. I live in Oberlin, Ohio and have been teaching ESL online since 2019. I LOVE it! I feel like I work on Sesame St. (the YipYips were my favorite!) Adults like it too! :) I am naturally an upbeat, goofy person. Students are naturally drawn to me because I love to get curious, explain things and make it fun. We learn better when we have fun! 楽しく、面白く、インタラクティブで、リラックスした、親切で忍耐強い。必要であればたくさんの小道具や例を使います。できるだけ共感できるようにし、学習目標に沿うようにしますが、学生が興味を失っていると感じたり、他のことについて話したいと思っている場合には、流れに乗って物事を面白く保つ方法を知っています。私の目的は、学生が快適で楽しい環境で、判断されることなく英語を話し、理解し、練習することです。

Fun/funny, interactive, relaxed, kind and patient. Lots of props and examples~if needed. I like to be as relatable as possible and stick to the learning objectives but know how to go with the flow and keep things interesting if I sense students are uninterested or just wish to talk about other things. My objective is simply getting students to speak, understand, and practice English in a comfortable, fun environment without judgement :)
