Hello! Bonjour! Nihao! Ciao! Are you looking for an experienced teacher? Someone who loves to help students learn English? That's me! I am a native English speaker. I grew up on the East Coast and now live in the Southwest of the United States. I have taught English and used my skills in writing, editing, and proofreading for most of my life. I have also dabbled in French, Spanish, and Chinese--just enough to know that learning a new language can be challenging but fun. My philosophy is to dive in and give it a try! I would love to meet you and learn your interests. I am sure that you will make progress with each new conversation.
I live on a mountain that overlooks a city in the arid Southwest of the USA. One of my favorite pastimes is taking walks with my family and spending time outdoors with my dogs. At sunset, we like to watch the beautiful colors of the sky. Then, at night, we see the lights of the city below. It is all very beautiful! When I can, I like to travel. My daughter has lived in France, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Senegal. We have had many adventures traveling together in Europe and Asia. I am a grandmother and have been teaching English for many years...decades! I love speaking with students and helping them develop their English skills.

Positivity! Encouragement! Patience! Those qualities are so important in my classroom. I believe in building, step-by-step, skills in pronunciation, vocabulary, expressions, and grammar. I meet my students at their starting point, wherever that may be, and teach from there.
