Hello! Welcome to my Cambly classroom. My name is Amelia and I'm a qualified teacher originally from South Africa. I am currently based in Spain and prior to this, I lived in London for 16 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialism in Foods and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I have 11 years experience as a primary school teacher in London and I have been teaching English since 2019 in Spain. I love being in nature, travelling and painting. I also really enjoy cooking, baking and doing yoga. In our sessions, we will practise your English in a relaxed manner. It will be like two friends having a video chat! Whatever your personal goals are, whether it's grammar, pronunciation or just casual conversations about everyday topics, I am here to help you. During our sessions, I will encourage you to speak as much as possible no matter what your level of English is. Sessions with me will leave you feeling more confident and you will improve upon your vocabulary, pronunciation and English speaking skills. I hope to meet you very soon!
I was born in Cape Town and moved to London at the age of 25 where I lived for 16 years. I have been living in southern Spain since 2019. My main interests are cooking, dancing, travelling to new places and meeting new people. I also enjoy doing yoga and occasionally going for a run or a bike ride on the beachfront. I am a foodie and an animal lover. I enjoy volunteering in animal shelters and fundraising for animal charities. I have a dog called Wilbur who is very sweet. Wilbur is a rescue and I adopted him 5 years ago from an animal shelter in London.

I am a friendly, patient and calm teacher. My teaching style is informal and relaxed and I do not mind being led by your interests. Let me know what your personal goals are and we can work on those. I would love to meet you and find out all about you. We will have lots to talk about because I like to ask lots of questions.
