Hello, My name is Teacher Krista. I have been teaching for over 15 years! I am certified from Level 1-6 and Levelled Reading with a 5 ⭐️ rating! live in Newfoundland, Canada. I have extensive experience teaching ESL with over five years experience. I love to instill a love of learning in my students. I have three university degrees including a masters degree in Counselling Psychology. I have also completed basic and advanced TESOL training. I have a passion for teaching using a multi-sensory approach. I am enthusiastic, energetic and ensure that every child in my classroom is successful. Outside of my work, I have a husband who also teaches with Cambly and an amazing six year old son. We love to travel, especially to Disney World. I can not wait to take you on this learning journey! I have been teaching at a brick and mortar school since 2004 and have a passion for my work. I enjoy learning and teaching and am an innovator in the areas of online learning and technology. I have worked with other ESL online and English online companies in the past, so although I am new to Cambly - I am very experienced and trained in both online learning and ESL for both beginner and experienced students. I look forward to hopefully working with you!

In helping students to learn and confidently speak English, I utilize a range of strategies (Total Physical Response), picture evidence, cue cards, prepared reading materials and topics of interest to promote conversation and practice. And above all else - having fun and feeling comfortable!
