こんにちは、テキサスから！ 私は何年も前に一年生を教えていましたが、息子を育てた後、オンラインでの新しい教え方に挑戦する準備ができました。 私の人生のほとんどをテキサスで過ごしましたが、その前はカリフォルニアとワシントン州に住んでいました。 動物と自然と写真と読書とホームインプルーブメントの番組とスキューバダイビングが大好きです。 私は13年間、市の動物管理部門や地元の動物救助団体のために写真を撮って、ホームレスの動物が新しい家を見つける手助けをしてきました。 一時期は4匹の大型犬と6匹の猫を飼っていて、新しい家を見つけるまで動物の世話をするのが大好きでした。 今は4匹の猫を飼っていますが、適切な家を見つけたら、もう一匹の犬を飼い、子猫の世話をまた始めたいと思っています。 私はすべての動物が大好きで、それについて話すことを楽しんでいます。 私はあまり多くの国を旅したことはありませんが、ヨーロッパのいくつかの国やメキシコ、カリブ海のいくつかの島には行ったことがあります。 写真も私のもう一つの趣味です --- もちろん動物や野生生物の写真ですが、自然や花、風景、建築や人々の写真も撮ります。 現在、ヨガと瞑想を少し学んでいます。 過去には少しアートもしていましたが、主に陶芸やクロッシェ、キルト作り、マクラメなどのクラフトで、最近ではモザイク作りにも挑戦しました。

Hi, from Texas! I taught first grade many years ago, and after raising my son I am ready to try the new way of teaching --- online! I have lived in Texas most of my life, but before that I lived in California and Washington state. I love animals and nature and photography and reading and home improvement shows and scuba diving. I have volunteered for 13 years helping homeless animals find new homes by photographing them for my city's animal control and for local animal rescues. At one time I had 4 large dogs and 6 cats, and I loved fostering animals until they found new homes. Now I have 4 cats and would like to have another dog and to foster kittens again when I find the right house. I love all animals and enjoy talking about them all. I have not traveled as much as I would like to but have been to a few countries in Europe and Mexico and some Caribbean islands. Photography is another love of mine --- of animals and wildlife of course, but also nature, flowers, landscapes, even architecture and humans. And I am currently learning some yoga and meditation. I have also done a bit of art in the past, mainly pottery and some crafts like crocheting, quilt making, macrame, and recently I tried making a mosaic.
I am a former first grade teacher, a photographer, an animal lover, a scuba diver, an avid reader, a mother and a grandmother. I have lived in Texas most of my life but have also lived in California and Washington state and I have traveled to or through most of the United States. I currently have 4 cats but have had many dogs, hamsters, birds, bunnies and guinea pigs. When I was young I enjoyed swimming, hiking, water and snow skiing, boating, canoeing, sailing, and ice skating.

I have been tutoring on Cambly for almost 3 years and have found I especially enjoy helping adults improve their English through conversation, reading and discussing news articles, exchanging ideas about all kinds of common topics, learning phrasal verbs and idioms and working through the courses available on Cambly. I can help students improve their pronunciations, sentence structure, word stress, phrasing, vocabulary, and understanding of phrasal verbs and idioms. I feel I am better skilled at working with adults and teenagers if they already have a foundation in English, or are at an upper beginner to intermediate level and above.
