Hello! My name is Alyssa! I am an American English teacher who offers English conversation classes to intermediate and advanced adult learners here on Cambly. Teaching English is my passion, and I hope to be able to work with you! I am confident that if given the chance, I can help you reach your English learning goals!
My passions are languages, teaching and dance. In my free time, I love to read, paint, and spend time outside. I recently moved home to the United States after teaching English in Spain for six years. I am a dual Irish-American citizen, and I have traveled to 13 countries so far.

The classes I provide are conversational with a focus on assisting the student in improving their spoken English in a way that is immersive as well as helpful and productive for them. I also welcome students to bring presentations, speeches and writing that they are working on either in school or in their jobs in English to class for feedback, if that is something they desire. I welcome all questions related to the English language, and I believe that teachers can learn just as much from theirs students as students from their teachers. Should you have a preferred learning style that I should be aware of, please do not hesitate to let me know. Some things about me are that I am a TEFL-certified instructor with a bachelor's degree in Spanish filology and dance. I have a strong knowledge of both American and British English as a dual Irish-American citizen and as a teacher of British English in Spain. I pride myself in instructing English in a way that is both informative and enjoyable!
