Hello! I’m Shakira, a friendly, patient, and culturally aware English tutor from London, UK, with proud Jamaican heritage. Beyond teaching, I spend my time exploring new countries, learning from diverse communities, and deepening my understanding of the world. Travel is a huge part of my life—it inspires my lessons and helps me connect with students from every background. I also work independently in criminology, focusing on behavioural patterns, victim-centred perspectives, and social justice. This work motivates my interest in philanthropy, community empowerment, and supporting people through education, awareness, and clear communication. In my free time, I enjoy exercise, weight training, yoga, long walks, and personal development, as well as engaging in projects that make a real difference. I love meeting people from all over the world, hearing their stories, and helping them achieve goals that open new doors—academically, professionally, and personally.
