I love long distance running and training for marathons. Generally, I run every day. I love sport in general - Celtic is my team in Scotland. Music and reading are also essential to me. My Kindle is my best friend! Recently I returned from teaching in Malaysia. I've also worked in Thailand, Kenya, Mexico, Turkey and Borneo. I promised myself that when I got my degree and teaching licence, I would use them to live in different countries and experience an assortment of cultures. These were wonderful times and I consider myself very lucky in this respect.

I like to put the student at ease, so that they will feel comfortable and natural in the lesson. It's my job to make the lesson interesting and engaging, so the student will have fun as they learn. Stimulating activities and tasks are the key in this area. But of course each student is different, and I like to adapt my style as I get to know the student's personality.
