**TAKING A BREAK from Saturday 10/17 to Sunday 10/25 - there is availability after this up to 10/31, please check for space. See you on my return!** I have many years of experience tutoring EFL both online and in person. I am also an intermediate Japanese speaker. My teaching style will give you many opportunities to increase your conversational ability. I taught English in Japan in the 1990s, and since returning to the UK I have taught English to private students as well as community classes here and there. Now I'm enjoying meeting the world online! >> Please note my lesson material is for adult learners and I do not teach under-16s, so please do not book my lessons if you are a child.
I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and I want to hear your stories, your interests, or even what you had for breakfast! I am a language learner myself and speak intermediate Japanese and a few words of Korean. I believe you should continually learn throughout life, and I enjoy news and current affairs, film, reading and popular culture in general. I also love to cook and talk about food.

I like to keep TTT (teacher talking time) to a minimum! If you like corrections I will record them in the chat panel. I also incorporate real-world sources (articles/picture cues) to add variety and keep students engaged.
