I come from Dunedin, New Zealand, I feel that after living in Cambodia since 2013 this is my home now, and feel lucky to be here. I am married and in 2016 we were lucky enough to have beautiful twin daughters. In my free time, I love spending time with my family more than anything else. Playing with my girls keeps me fit and we all love outdoor activities. I enjoy learning and teaching as often as I can. There is so much to learn and share that knowledge is always fun. I joined Cambly in October 2022 and I've meet some amazing students. Young and old, I look forward to meeting so many more. Thank you. Children are our future and teaching them is a big responsibility. I have the experience, skills, and knowledge to help your child grow and learn.
My teaching career started not long after joining the New Zealand Army Reserves in 2009. In my 4 years in the Army, I became a Lance Corporal and taught lessons to soldiers in my Company on up-and-coming exercises to familiarize them with what we were doing in the coming weeks. In 2013 I moved to Siem Reap, Cambodia. I completed a 120hr in-classroom TEFL course and started teaching. In the past 9 years, I’ve taught from levels K2 to Grade 6 in the classroom privately taught adult employees of a travel agency, taught evening conversation classes, and 2 years teaching Chinese students English online. I’ve taught students ranging in age from 4 years old up to adults in their 40s. Teaching is only a part of what I do, I work in pest control, landscaping, handyman work, painting, and building and currently learning how to grow hydroponic vegetables under lights. I am married with twin daughters who were born in 2016 and an adult son. I am highly motivated and I love life and will try anything. I always give 100% and as long as you do the same, win or lose I’ll be proud of you. Learn with me using conversation; expand your vocabulary by listening, reading, and speaking. Enjoy learning English through my life experiences and sharing my extensive knowledge with you. I've now been teaching/tutoring on Cambly now since October 2022. I've helped many students with IELTS preparation and a number of people relocating to New Zealand and Australia for Education and Job opportunities. My lessons are catered to you, I am very laid back but we can role play so you can prepare for any situation you could come across in the workplace, on holiday, or just in day-to-day life.
