Hi there! 👋 My name is Sumayyah! I’m a 34-year-old African American Muslim, wife, and proud mother. I have a clear and neutral English accent and love helping students feel confident while learning to speak English naturally and clearly. I’ve been an online ESL tutor for over 8 years and have also worked as a lead preschool teacher for 3 years. I hold a Bachelors in Child Development and a Masters of Science in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology! Whether you're a child or adult, beginner or advanced, I make sure our lessons are fun, supportive, and focused on your goals! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling, learning new things, trying different foods, and spending time with my family. I also love meeting people from around the world and learning about different cultures, just like you! ✨ "Learning a new language is like opening the door to a whole new world, let’s explore it together!" ✨
My interests are traveling, exercising, reading and listening to audios for gained knowledge, exploring new cultures, trying new foods and activities, writing, spending time with my family, and going on nature walks!

My teaching style is fun, engaging, creative, adaptable, empathetic, patient and informative! I believe that basic conversation is one of the key elements to enhancing one's English and it allows for the freedom of expression! I enjoy bringing lessons to life for my students, using (TPR) total Physical Response and providing many examples to ensure that all lessons are understood!
