私はアメリカ出身ですが、エジプトのカイロに3.5年間、トルコのイスタンブールに2年間住んでいました。言語学習者と一緒に働いていないときは、写真を撮ったり自然の中で過ごすことが好きです。料理やお菓子作りも好きな趣味で、ガーデニングも楽しんでいます。もっと旅行したいと思っていて、特にギリシャと日本に行きたいです！友達の近くに戻るためにエジプトに再び移住し、エジプトアラビア語を学ぶことが私の希望です。

Hello! As an educator for over 10 years, and an English language coach for 6 years, I'm very excited to coach you in the English language. I have experience helping hundreds of adults practice English conversation and reach fluency. I specialize in IELTS preparation, however I can assist you in general or conversational English, basic pronunciation, and writing. Let's work together to reach your goals in English! I am originally from the USA, but I lived in Cairo, Egypt for 3.5 years and Istanbul, Turkiye for 2 years. Photography and spending time in nature are my favorite things to do when I'm not working with language learners. Cooking and baking are favorite hobbies, as well as gardening. I want to travel more, especially to Greece and Japan! My hope is to move back to Egypt to be near my friends again and to learn Egyptian Arabic.

I provide a safe and secure environment for all of the language learners I work with. My teaching style is always changing and evolving the longer I work with English language learners. I usually use a natural approach to instructing English, meaning I use techniques and strategies similar to what a young learner uses when they are acquiring their native language. I utilize short videos, short stories, photographs, art and other mediums as content for discussion for pre-intermediate to advanced learners. For beginners I like to borrow techniques from the TPRS (Total Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) style of teaching and use a lot of pictures and imagery. Repetition is also an important technique that I use for speaking practice, as well as open conversation and discussion, as this promotes confidence. Building a language learner's confidence is the most important job as a language instructor.
