Hi, I'm Nick! I'm originally from England but I've been living in Thailand for several years now, and I love a good chat — about pretty much anything, from Formula 1 and the latest game I'm playing to whatever's going on in the news. I've been teaching English online for over 7 years and have racked up 4,200+ hours in the classroom with students of all ages, from young kids to working professionals. These days I mostly help adult learners build real confidence speaking English — whether that's for travel, work, interviews, or just smoother everyday conversation. By day I'm also a software developer (I build games, among other things), so if you work in tech or just want to practice English around that world, that's a topic I genuinely enjoy. My teaching style is relaxed and conversational: I want you talking as much as possible, and we go at your pace, no rushing, no judgement on mistakes. I run lessons across a wide range of topics and levels — grammar, pronunciation, travel English, business English, IELTS prep, or just free conversation about whatever's on your mind. Outside of teaching, I'm a Unity/C# game developer, so I spend a fair amount of time building things and solving problems on a screen — which probably explains why I'm also into gaming in my downtime. I'm a big Formula 1 fan (Lewis Hamilton has my support through thick and thin), I write fantasy fiction, and I'm a longtime fan of Star Trek and building LEGO sets based on it. I moved to Thailand a few years back and I'm settled here now, living a fully remote lifestyle between teaching and game development. I love talking about technology, AI, science, and pop culture just as much as the basics of daily life — so wherever the conversation goes, I'm happy to follow.

My teaching style is more out-going, I like to try and encourage my students to speak as much as possible and we will patiently work on the lessons together with no rushing.
