美術、演劇、哲学、心理学、社会学、フェミニストとゲイ理論、フィルム・ノワール、クラシックなハリウッドの白黒映画、サッカー、バドミントン。私はインドネシアを舞台にした3冊の小説を出版した小説家でもあり、詩人でもあります。

I have done a lot of my teaching in universities, so I think I am better at higher levels and academic English, especially teaching writing.
Art, Theatre, Philosophy, Psychology, Social Studies, Feminist and Gay Theory, Film Noir, Classic Hollywood black and white movies, Football, Badminton. I am also a novelist who has published three novels set in Indonesia, and a poet.

私の教え方は生徒に合わせるようにしています。だから、私は一対一の指導を好みます。 ライティングを教えるときは、生徒に自分の作品の例を作成してもらい、それを一緒に見て話し合います。私は非常に徹底的に作業するので、ややゆっくりですが、生徒は最後に書面の記録を持ち帰ることができ、再度見直すことができます。生徒がIELTSのライティングに焦点を当てたい場合は、タスク1と2を作成してもらいます。すでに何らかの学位を目指している場合は、エッセイやジャーナル記事のスタイルで学術的な文章を作成することを提案します。

I try to match my teaching style to my student. That's why I prefer to teach one-to-one. When I teach writing, I ask students to produce an example of their work which we can then look at together and discuss. I work very thoroughly, and therefore rather slowly, but my students have a written record at the end which they can go back to and look at again. If students want to focus on IELTS writing, they can produce Tasks 1 and 2; if they are already working towards a degree of some kind, I will suggest that they produce a piece of academic writing in the style of an essay or a journal article.
