I am from New York State and lived in the Washington, DC area for several years. I grew up in a small town, and when I first started meeting international students and immigrants, it became my mission to learn as much about them and help them as much as possible, especially through language support. Much of my collegiate and post-collegiate time has been spent in other countries.
