Hello! It's good to meet you. I've just completed a Master's degree in Poetry, 35 years after graduating from Cambridge University with an English Literature degree. I have completed a 140-hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification, specialising in online teaching. I love learning and teaching and would strive to help you increase your confidence and competence in English, whatever your age. I am a qualified journalist and, for the past 30 years, have partnered with businesses to help them communicate.
I live in southern England with my husband and whippet, Daisy. I love walking in nature, gardening, collecting vintage objects, writing poetry and going to music concerts. I have been a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen for more than 40 years! I love meeting people from different cultures. I am still in touch with American, Australian and Italian friends that I met while abroad, 20 to 40 years ago.

I am encouraging, patient and good humoured. I understand that speaking in a foreign language can feel awkward, scary and even embarrassing, so I try to help my students relax by relating to their interests and cultures and by being supportive of their efforts. Lessons should be fun as well as educational!
