Hello!
Hi! I'm Ryan from Canada. I've taught English as a second language full-time over five years in-classroom. I've also worked professionally helping foreign applicants with university and college admission to schools in Canada and the United States, and in passing required English proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOELF, CAEL, and the Duolingo English Test. I have a degree in International Relations and Development from the University of Windsor in Canada. I love to talk about technology and engineering, travel and culture, food and cooking, science, the news... anything and everything! I do not teach children on Cambly.
I have a great passion for travel, especially long overland trips. Among other adventures I've ridden a motorcycle from Canada through South America. I've circled the Indian subcontinent by motorcycle. I've backpacked through southern and eastern Africa. I've circumnavigated the Amazon basin largely by boat. I've worked in South Korea and Vietnam teaching English, and I've also lived extended periods in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Turkey, Nepal, Cambodia and India. In total I've been to 40-something countries! I'm also a foodie / cook and a hiker.
