Hello!

Hello, my name is Ashley and I am a Certified Advanced TEFL Teacher with over 3,350+ hours of lessons given to students from over 50 different countries. Originally, I am from New York City, USA and today I live and work in Brazil in Fortaleza, Ceará. I am natively fluent in both English and Portuguese and have English teaching experience in São Paulo, Brazil where I taught Business English to intermediate to advanced level, senior executives of major banks and financial institutions in private, in-office sessions of 90 minutes. In our lessons, we only speak English which is important, and we concentrate on discussing specific real-world topics presented in articles, videos and/or certain journals that relate to the student's professional activities or personal interests. Our lessons concentrate on pronunciation, sentence construction, vocabulary building, and direct one to one conversations. I have a strong financial advisory background and worked on Wall Street in NYC and also on Paulista Avenue in São Paulo. I played professional tennis in the 1980's and later migrated to competitive Squash in Brazil. I also enjoy Backgammon and going to the beaches here in Fortaleza.
