Hello!
Hello! My name is Jill and I live in the northwest of England not too far away from the cities of Manchester and Liverpool! I am a qualified teacher specialising in German and French and I have loved teaching languages for over 30 years to adults and children of all ages and abilities. In addition, I have a teaching English qualification - a TESOL certificate from Trinity College, London. I have had experience of teaching English for an academic year in Germany and to students at an International Private School over a period of 10 years. I am happy to help students with all aspects of learning English especially at beginner and intermediate levels but also at advanced level. It may be that you would like to improve your conversational English, business English, pronunciation and grammar or develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. I can help you with absolutely anything!
Languages and travelling have always been passions of mine since I went on school exchanges to France and Germany as a teenager. When I was a university student I lived in France and worked as a holiday rep on a campsite which was fantastic fun! Some of my greatest experiences and happiest memories are from the times I have spent time in many countries, learning about their cultures, traditions and connecting with other people who have different ways of life to me. I have travelled to the USA, China, South Africa, Cuba and to most countries in Europe. I have been learning Spanish for a little while after falling in love with it whilst staying in Majorca. I have other passions too. I enjoy being out in nature, walking and cycling and I love being with animals, especially dogs. At the moment I am taking animal welfare courses, including canine anxiety and animal reiki. I try to lead a healthy lifestyle by eating simple nutritious food and swimming a lot! It would be lovely to chat with you about your interests and hobbies! I am looking forward very much to being part of your learning English journey!

Teaching Style
My teaching style is simple, it's always relaxed, engaging and fun! You are my focus and so I will help you find your very best way of learning English. First of all, I find out what your goal or aim is, what level you would like to work towards and what your needs and interests are. I then find out what you already know and what you can do, what level you are currently at. Once I know this we will start working together to build on your knowledge in small manageable steps so you will be able to see the progress you are making each and every lesson! My aim is help you to build your confidence in communicating well and naturally in English so that you are able to express the 'real' you in whatever situation you find yourself in!
