Hello!
Hello! My name is Ms. Robin, and I'm delighted to meet you. Thank you for taking the exciting step of learning a new language. I know that learning English is a journey, and I look forward to encouraging, supporting, and helping you gain the confidence you need to reach your goals.
I have more than 10 years of experience teaching students from ages 6 to 85, both online and in person. I currently live in Alabama in the United States, and one of the things I enjoy most about teaching is helping people from different cultures to communicate with confidence. Teaching has taken me on many wonderful adventures around the world. I lived in beautiful Puerto Rico for nearly 10 years teaching people of all ages. I studied Mandarin Chinese on the island of Taiwan, have traveled all over the United states, England, Canada and the Caribbean. Every place I have visited has taught me something valuable about language, culture, and the importance of meaningful conversations. Those experiences have helped me become a more understanding and patient teacher, and I enjoy sharing what I've learned with my students. Professionally, I hold degrees in Computer Engineering and Language Arts. Before becoming a full-time educator, I spent more than 15 years working in the technology industry, advancing from a hardware technician to executive management. This experience allows me to help students improve not only their conversational English but also their Business English and professional communication skills.

Well as you may have noticed from my introduction, I love words. I guess you can call me a Wordie. There are people who love food and they are called Foodies. So I am a Wordie. Not too many words though, but just enough words to convey thoughts and intentions. We find a variety of words in the conversations that we speak. Here is where we learn about who people are, where they have been and where they want to go. Learning what your goals are and what you want to achieve in your life will determine what my style of teaching will be for you as my student. Helping you to be the best in what you choose to pursue in your life is my style of teaching. As part of my style, I will use word pictures to help your mind to grasp lessons in vocabulary and grammar. These word pictures surround our lives and can make each day an exciting journey.
