Tod
Hello!
๐Hello, language adventurer! As you read, my name is Mr. Tod, and I'm a tutor from the American Midwest. Once upon a time, I learned to speak quite a bit of a couple foreign languages, so, I know just how difficult it can be at times - all the idioms and nuances, subtleties and the not so subtle. As I play lots of word games and study the ancient language, or two, I've found explaining peculiarities particularly fun! English has a veritable multitude of 'em! That said, the key to learning a language is not being afraid of it. You'll find, the more one uses it, the more mistakes one makes. The more mistakes one makes, the more opportunities one has to adjust one's word usage, make corrections, and consequently, the more knowledge one gains. The more knowledge one has regarding a foreign language, the more comfortable one is engaging with those, who speak it natively. ๐๐ ๐๐๐ผ๐ is to be here for ๐๐๐ in order to help ๐๐๐ with those mistakes, so that speaking with other native English speakers becomes easier and easier. My desire is to help you build ๐๐๐๐ confidence in English. I simply want to help you reach ๐๐๐๐ goals. ๐๐๐๐ goals will become ๐๐๐ goals. I want ๐๐๐ to succeed. When you succeed, I succeed. It's about teamwork! So,...What ๐๐ง๐ your goals?
I've been labeled a bit of a conversationalist, especially when the topics wend toward history, culture, trivia, and the like. I enjoy walking, bicycling, birdwatching, drawing and illustrating, reading, listening to classical and, of course, being a Gen X-er, the occasional 80s and 90s hits are a must! What do ๐๐๐ like to listen to and watch and do? You'll have to share that with me, soon. ; ) Also, I have an absolute RASCAL of a cat; he's an excellent mouser, and loves hijinks - he's ALWAYS up to somethin' - always has somethin' brewin', except when he's sleeping, which for the neighborhood's sake is a good thing that's half the day! He accomplishes much on ๐๐ค๐ฉ๐ sides of his eyelids!

Teaching Style
After reading my intro, you've likely found that I'm pretty easy-going and friendly, while remaining a bit academic, when necessary, though not in an overbearing manner. I'm quite patient and I love questions, as they are the building blocks of language. I don't mind repeating myself, and I find guided repetition one of the best ways one can learn vocabulary and basic conversational "rules". I welcome all levels of proficiency in English, as I've spoken with hundreds of people from all over the world, each with their own language art, if you will. Most of all, I believe, learning another language should be fun for both tutor AND tutee. First Question: Did you know the word "tutee"? : )
