Hello!
Hi, I'm Ian. I'm originally from the United Kingdom and now live in Calgary, Canada. Although my accent is British I understand and use many of the North American expressions & words and can explain how they differ to ones used in the UK. I have spent most of my adult life educating others. I'm now here to help you to learn English in a casual and relaxed way. Call me and let's chat! :)
I am now semi-retired and until recently was a Realtor selling homes here in the Calgary area. I have also previously been a Financial Advisor, Training & Development Officer and Pharmacy Technician. I enjoy educating others and the feeling that I have contributed to their growth. I have a wife, two grown-up children and three grandchildren. I love pets, particularly dogs, and although I no longer have any dogs I used to have a Cocker Spaniel and a Weimaraner. I live in the City of Calgary and love to go for walks and observe nature. I have a passion for travel and experiencing other cultures. I have traveled to France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Tunisia, USA, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Singapore & Malaysia. I wish to travel even more and would like to learn about your country and culture!

Teaching Style
My teaching style is relaxed, conversational and focused on the learner. Having lived in the UK and North America I know how the English language can differ from one country to another. I can therefore communicate in either and explain some of the differences. I offer classes to help you improve your speaking, listening, grammar and pronunciation. I work best with intermediate to advanced levels. :)
