Bethany
Hello!
Hi! My name is Bethany. I am a patient, passionate and caring teacher with more than 15 years of teaching experience. My focus is on helping students to increase their fluency and confidence, as well as helping students to prepare for IELTS and TOEFL exams. I also specialize in helping students to prepare for job interviews. I understand the importance of providing error correction and specific feedback to help students understand how they can quickly improve. Although English is my native language, I have learned quite a bit of Spanish, so I understand the importance of motivating students to learn to speak a foreign language. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, visiting sites around my city and preparing healthy and delicious meals. I can't wait to see you in the classroom!
After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, I worked as a Social Worker for ten years and helped people with disabilities find employment. When I have the opportunity, I like to travel and learn about other cultures. I am a warm, friendly and compassionate person who loves to support and encourage my students to achieve their language learning goals.

Teaching Style
In 2011, I moved to Costa Rica, received a TEFL teaching certification and started teaching young people and adults in small groups and private classes. We used large computer monitors with the latest technology in our classrooms to provide students with dynamic and interactive lessons. In class, I always have a wide range of topics and conversation questions, as well as news articles, that encourage dialogue and make learning fun and interesting.
