I am an avid reader and puzzle solver. I enjoy listening to jazz music, and engaging in creative activities. I also enjoy learning about new and interesting subjects through online MOOC's from around the world.

I believe building relationships with my students is very important. I invest time in discovering what students want and need to be supported in their learning. I aim to help each student understand English for better communication and preparation for their long-term goals. During lessons, I provide a comfortable environment and encourage students to practice speaking and sharing their thoughts, even the littlest ones. I promote this because I understand learning a second language is a gradual process, and students want to enjoy their time with their English instructor. I use scaffolding and natural extensions to enhance the lesson and relate information to students in a manner that will be useful. I am patient with every learner and welcome students of all ages.
