Hello! My name is Ashley. I am a native English speaker from Tennessee, U.S.A. I currently live in Peru, South America. I am also fluent in Spanish. I have a TEFL certificate and about 14 years of experience teaching English in schools and language centers, and also as a personal tutor. I have experience working with students from many different countries as well as from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures and English needs. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures and places around the world. I also enjoy practicing Spanish conversations and vocabulary with students who are interested in that. If you have any questions or specific needs, please feel free to send me a message before our lesson together so I can be sure to do my best to help you meet your goals. Please note that I am currently NOT teaching children/teenagers because I am focused on my adult students at this time. Thank you!
I was born in New York, USA but I grew up in Tennessee, USA, and Ecuador, South America. English is my native language but I am fluent in Spanish. I currently live in Peru, South America. I love learning about other countries and cultures. I enjoy reading and learning about history. I also enjoy watching some popular movies and TV shows. I like speaking about history, pop culture, and the latest world news. I am married. My husband is from Peru. We do not have any children, but we do have two cats.

Please note that due to the number of regular students I have, I do NOT make personalized lesson plans. Instead, I encourage my students to tell me what they want to work on, and I am happy to do my best to adapt to that. Therefore, I will send you a message before our class, reminding you that we have an upcoming class, and inquiring about your English goals and needs for that lesson. In our first class, I will try to get to know you and ask you about your English background and goals. I am happy to help you work on any of the Cambly Courses if you have enrolled in one of them. If you are interested in free conversation, I will be more than happy to speak with you about a variety of topics and help with pronunciation and vocabulary so you can improve your fluency and feel more comfortable speaking and listening. If you have something specific that you need help with (grammar, business English, test preparation, etc.) please send me a message before our class to let me know in advance so I can share some links with you and let you choose some materials that we can use to help you in our class to help you with your specific needs. I am happy to also practice Spanish conversation and vocabulary with you however, I am not familiar with Spanish grammar rules.
