Nikki
Hello!
Note: I will be on vacation from August 17, 2026 - September 3, 2026. I look forward to seeing you when I return!! Hi. My name is Nikki. One thing I love about tutoring English is that I get to meet so many interesting people like you. I am from the U.S. but moved to Colombia in 2014. When I am not tutoring English, I am teaching Pilates, editing academic manuscripts, or running in the mountains with my dogs.
I am a native of the U.S. but I have been living in Colombia since 2014, which means I am on this language learning journey with you. I have a B.A. in Sociology from the University of South Florida and a 500 hour comprehensive Pilates teacher certification from Centro Holistic Abalance Pilates Studio in Envigado, Colombia. I currently work as a Pilates teacher and as a copy editor. My hobbies include hiking with my dogs, running, and having coffee with friends. I taught my first english classes at an orphanage for girls in Guatemala in 2011 and since then have tutored many adults and children encouraging them to speak and use what they know while learning new grammar and vocabulary along the way.

Teaching Style
I love to create opportunities for both listening and speaking in my classes, so using a combination of videos, and short readings are my favorite tools. Using what we know is as important as learning new grammar and vocabulary, so conversation is absolutely key in our language learning journey.
