Expérience d'enseignement: I am currently a substitute teacher for grades K-12 with my local school district. I got hired for the school district about a year ago and so far I absolutely love it! Everyday I am at a different school, different classroom, and leading a different set of students, my job is never boring! Prior to working for the school district, I worked for a continuation school for 6-12 grade. This was a bit of a challenging experience because the students here all had severe emotional and behavior issues. However, my experience there was just as rewarding if not more than the challenges themselves. Before beginning as a substitute teacher, I worked for a technology company and often lead workshops/classes in the mornings for adults who recently purchased a smart phone, ipad, of wifi card from our company and spend 1-2 hours once a week educating these customers on the features of their latest device and answering any questions they might've had. I have a strong passion for education and am also very patient. I understand that everyone learns at a different pace and in a different manner. I like getting to know my students' likes and dislikes when it comes to education and how they enjoy learning in order to foster an environment that supports and encourages higher learning.
Intérêts: During my free time I enjoy running (I run about 20 miles a week), reading novels, hiking, bike riding, and going to dinner with friends/family.
Éducation: I went to school at California State University of Long Beach. There, I studied Health Science and graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Health Science Education. I was accepted into the teaching credential program in 2011 and was granted a substitute teaching permit by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in 2013.
