After college, he returned home to Saskatchewan. Before he became famous, Brent worked in construction and tried to make comic books with his friend. They did not have enough money to keep going though. Brent started telling jokes in 1988 at a comedy club in Saskatoon. He was very good at it and moved to a big city called Toronto to tell more jokes. Brent made people laugh on TV and radio in Canada and other countries. He sang funny songs about the place he grew up. In 2003, he made "Corner Gas" which was a very popular TV show in Canada. In 2005, a very important event happened. Kiss really liked it because their guitar player had been hurt on stage before, and using this new system was safer.
