Hi! My name is Mrs. Joy, and I would love to help you reach whichever goals you have on your English language journey. As a certified TEFL instructor, I will make sure you improve your reading, listening and speaking English comprehension. Let me know what you need. If you are here to refine or improve a certain bit of the language or simply maintain what you have learned, I'm here for you.
I like teaching because l love to learn. I live in a melting pot that is the United States of America and always found it important to be able to understand one's surroundings, culturally. Culture and influence are bred through language. The first step to learning any culture, is to learn the way the individuals in a certain place, communicate with one another. The summer before my last year of college, allowed me to explore the world outside my country and inspired me to pursue my goal of teaching through communication, the world over. Soon after graduating college, I received my TEFL certification, hitting the ground running. I needed to earn a living, so I gravitated toward a career in advisement. In addition to working in sales and customer service for the past 10 years, I have also volunteered in my community with a few local animal shelters, as a shelter volunteer and cat/kitten foster parent. I love animals! I now live in St. Petersburg, Florida with my husband and cats.

Communication is the key to world! I believe that anyone who wants to learn a different language, are doing so because they want to understand the world and make their voice heard within it. As your teacher, I'm here to help you find your voice. Let's start at the finish line. Your goal is to be able to communicate effectively, so let's talk. I can help you with every day conversational skills, reading, and pronunciation. Gardening is a newfound passion of mine; however, I love to share my interest in the movies, or the television shows I am watching, the books I am reading or the languages I am learning. My goal is to become a polyglot, however the only language I have a B1 CEFR (Common European Framework) level in, is Spanish. I would love to know what your interest are!
