Hello!
Hi, I'm Mary! I would love to be your Cambly tutor. I am from the USA, but currently live in Mexico, so I am also learning a new language and understand how hard it is. I can promise you that my class always be fun, but productive and will be catered to your specific needs and interests!
I was born and raised in the United States. I have lived in 10 different states from the east coast, to middle America, to the west coast. I moved with my husband, and my 2 dogs, to Mérida, Mexico about 4 years ago. I am still learning to speak Spanish. I truly love the the people and culture of the Yucatán. I love all animals, and am the Director of a breed-specific (Shiba Inu) dog rescue in the US. I am also a volunteer for an organization here in Mexico that offers low-cost sterilization clinics for dogs and cats. I love to travel, read, garden, swim, watch TV & movies, and going out to restaurants with friends.

Recognizing that everyone has different learning styles, I will adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of my student. I believe people learn best when the lesson is meaningful to them, and therefore prefer to take advantage of "teachable moments" that occur organically in conversation vs. a rigid adherence to a generic lesson plan.
