Hello!
I am an enthusiastic and self-motivated career teacher with over ten years of experience. I was born in Hastings in East Sussex. I have travelled around Europe and lived in many countries. I spent five years teaching English in China. When I'm not planning or teaching I spend my time studying and exercising. I am interested in almost any subject including biology, botany and psychology.
I am a very active person. When I'm not running, cylcling or working out in the gym, I study languages.

Teaching Style
My teaching approach is straightforward. I don’t believe in ‘systems’ or gimmicks. My aim is to listen to the student in order to assess and isolate what the language issues are.. I then prepare materials that help the learner to understand and improve those aspects. With very young learners I select simple, relatable vocabulary. I drill the words, we learn songs that feature the target lexis and then I try to teach/elicit sentences that could be transferable. With adult/intermediate learners, we pratice phrasal verbs and idioms.
