Gill

Hello!

Hi my name is teacher Gillian and welcome to my classroom. Thank you so much for choosing my Cambly profile. Here’s a bit of information about me : I am from London England in the united kingdom, where I have lived all my life. I have a Diploma in Office Administration and for over 25 years I have worked extensively in the Health and Education sector, in the Business Finance sector and in the NGO Charity Sector. During my career I held posts as a Personal Assistant, Office Manager and Secretary. These posts required me to have an excellent command of written and spoken English. I will be able to help students who wish to improve their English in daily conversations and casual conversations. I can help students who wish to improve their conversational English in professional and workplace settings in the Health sector, Education sector, Business Finance sector and the Charity sector. I will help students with greetings, introductions, phrases, pronunciations and grammar that are used in everyday conversations. If students are planning to visit a native English speaking country I will help them with phrases for that too. My teaching style is relaxed and patient. I know it can be difficult to learn a new language because I am also learning a new language myself and often make mistakes! As I converse with my students I will stop and make corrections as soon as mistakes are made so its fresh in the student’s memory. I will repeat and clarify as often as the student requires. My hobbies are Cake Baking and Cake Decorating, Coffee making, Gardening, Candlemaking and Bullet Journalling. My favourite shows are Game of Thrones, Poldark and Squid Games. My favourite music is Reggae, R&B, Pop, Dance, LoFi and Chill-Hop. If you have the same hobbies and interests would like to have a class talking about them, then please book a class with me and we can talk about those topics for the entire lesson. I will help you learn some the of conversational phrases about those topics. Please feel free to book a class with me or message me if you would like to have a different time slot. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you soon.
