I am a TEFL-certified teacher, and I studied English Literature at university for almost 10 years (I did a BA and an MA, then five more years of doctoral research, specialising in Shakespeare). I'm a warm, friendly and open-minded person. When I'm not teaching, I work for one of the UK's largest charities, raising money to help people in need. In my spare time, I love learning and I love exploring. I read a lot of books and I love having long intellectual discussions! Music is my biggest passion. I play the piano and go to concerts regularly. Finally I like to travel. I've mainly travelled in Europe, but two years ago I spent a month in the Philippines, and it was an amazing experience. In the future I would like to broaden my horizons and explore other parts of the world!

My style is relaxed and conversational. We can chat about whatever you like, or I can provide the topic. During our conversation, we may touch on basic points of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, and we can spend as much time on them as you like, until you feel happy that you've understood them.
