Mouse
Hello!
Hi! I'm Linda, but you can call me Tutor Mouse (or you can call me Teacher Linda; I'll answer to both). Welcome. I am happy to be here! I am a native English speaker residing in the U.S. I am looking forward to meeting and talking with you. How was your day?
Step right in and don't be shy, but if you are, no worries ... It's fun here and I am very patient. For over 15 years, I have helped students feel less timid and feel more bold, brave, and confident with their language performance, so have no fear! Many students do overcome their learning challenges, and with me, students feel safe in making bold attempts and in making mistakes. Both are necessary for academic growth. Speaking of academic growth, my academic background of psychology and teaching has allowed me to apply behavioral principles of learning in various educational settings; however, I enjoy tutoring in private sessions the most because I get to give one-to-one instruction. For students, the one-to-one attention renders big results with learning! When I’m not tutoring, I'm improving my French, striking a yoga pose, writing, baking, or learning something surprising from AI! My favorite food right now is probably Ramen, and smoothies are my default meal these days. Some fun facts about me: I can recite all 50 US states in alphabetical order in under 30 seconds, I have dabbled in the movie industry as a background artist, and I once ran a full marathon with a full knee injury! So, yes – anything is possible, and you have taken a very brave step in embracing the challenge of learning and practicing English. I can't wait to be a part of your language learning journey! Book a lesson today, and I’ll see you soon!

My approach to teaching here on Cambly is rather casual. What are your goals? What would you like for me to cover? What do you like to study or what do you need to work on the most? Just talking, we can learn a great deal, learn a whole lot, and cover a plethora of information that will guide our learning in each session. Accents and dialects just fascinate me, and there are just so many of them in the U.S, and everywhere ... all over the world! I just love them! Within the U.S., there is also an array of slang, colloquialism and idiomatic expressions which can make learning English a challenge, but it’s all good! We will have fun learning! Come on in! Happy to have y'a!
