Hello!
Hi my name is Katherine, I'm 44 years old, mum to my twelve year old daughter, and I have 10 years experience working as teaching assistant in secondary school (11-18) I have a lot of experience working with children and adults with additional learning needs and mental health challenges. It really makes me happy to help someone begin to see their own potential and the confidence that grows within them as a result.
I am working full time in a secondary school working with children 11 -16. I am a student of homeopathy so a lifelong learner myself. I've always loved English as a subject and always been an avid reader, I enjoy creative writing and find being creative really helps me to engage with my emotions and helps me to be a better communicator.

I think that learning is really conducive when there is fun, relaxed atmosphere, tackling difficulties with a little laughter, in my experience lightens the load and helps to move through any difficulties in learning. I think people learn best when they really get stuck into the work, and are hands on. I'm also a great believer in the importance of learning from our mistakes, they are often little gifts that signpost us to the right answer next time.
