Hello! I am teacher Catherine L. I have been teaching English to non-native students in classrooms and online for many years. I am excited to help you learn English, too! I am a teacher by trade but also by nature. I love teaching and have done it for many years. I have taught individual students in person and online as well as small and large groups. While there is something exciting about teaching an audience of hundreds, I prefer seeing the gleam of understanding in the eye of a student in a small group or individual setting. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a student grasp a new concept! Outside of the classroom, I read, write, bake, walk, swim, play basketball and enjoy like with my family. I love the ocean and sitting on the beach on a warm day is my idea of the perfect moment! I can't wait to hear what you enjoy doing!

I use a lot of technology and props with younger learners, including online reading, listening, viewing, and quiz assignments. This helps students practice what they have learned in the classroom. With more proficient students, I use a variety of methods including online textbooks or test preparation materials to help them prepare for English exams. The goal is to provide each student with a learning experience that matches his or her needs and ability while accelerating language acquisition and mastery. I use a natural conversation style based on student interests.
