Hello!

Hello! My name is Aalyah Duncan. I'm an native English Speaker from the United States. I look forward to teaching you!

I've been teaching English for a few years now, and I must say that it's been an amazing experience for me. I deem one of the best ways to connect with people is through language, and that's why I'm dedicated to teaching English. I believe that by helping students build their confidence and knowledge when speaking, I am contributing to their personal growth and development. It's truly rewarding to see my students improve their communication skills and achieve their goals. Aside from teaching, I enjoy traveling. I've been fortunate enough to visit a handful of places so far, including Italy, Vietnam, Japan, and Taiwan. Each place has its own unique culture and wonderful people that have left a lasting impression on me. In total, I've been lucky enough to travel to 15 countries and hope to continue exploring new places in the future.

Teaching Style

One of the ways I like to teach (besides having a fun lesson) is through the scaffolding approach. It's a method that involves breaking down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable parts and building upon each step as you go. This approach can be helpful for students who struggle with language pronunciation or have difficulty retaining information. By providing students with a clear structure and a step-by-step process, they can better understand the material and feel more confident in learning English.
