Hello!

Hi, I am Cara. I recently earned my 168 hour TEFL diploma and am excited to help you reach your language goals. I am from the United States of America and have a very neutral accent. I now live in Panama. I am conversationally fluent in Spanish and I understand how frustrating it can feel when trying to communicate. My teaching style is very patient, encouraging, understanding, relaxed and fun. I am very adaptable and can change the lessons to fit for you. I am excited to work with you and help to build your confidence and reach your English goals. I am from the United States of America but now live in Panama. I have lived here for 2 years with my husband and three year old daughter, who is also learning Spanish. Outside of teaching, I have many interests and hobbies. I love to sail, scuba dive, read, hike and camp. I love photography, especially black and white film. I love art and music and am also learning to play the ukulele. Before I was working as a nurse, I was in the United States Coast Guard for 4 years where I developed a passion for food and cooking. I also love language, travel, meeting new people and learning about other cultures. I have even spent a month in Nepal teaching English to young monks. I have lived in all four corners of the USA and have travelled to almost every state and many other countries as well. I still have a very long list of places and cultures I would love to experience .
