Hello!

Hi there. My name is Vicky, I'm from the north-east of England. I'm a married mother of 3, have 8 grandchildren, 2 Labrador dogs and a car called Alphonso. I've worked as a Customer Service Agent in the past and used to own my own catering business before that, so I'm used to listening to people to find out how I can be of help and do what's best for them. I started my ESL tutor journey in 2022 but had to take a bit of a break for personal reasons last year. Now I'm ready to start again and meet some lovely new people. I love to listen to music and like lots of different types such as Rock, Metal, Folk, Roots, Viking and even Classical. I also like gardening and have a Permaculture Design Course qualification. I regularly play DnD (Dungeons and Dragons) online with friends in the USA, Vietnam and China. I have always loved learning about history, so much so that I had food stalls at historical markets, where I sold traditional recipe pies and cakes and I met my husband, who was the blacksmith. I know a tiny bit of French and a few words of Spanish, Portuguese and German, but by no means fluent in any of them. I am a native English speaker, qualified for a Level 5 TEFL certificate. I look forward to offering help to people who would like to improve their fluency and confidence by having informal conversations with me, where I will try to base the chat around your interests and needs so that we can keep the conversation flowing.

I really enjoy meeting lots of new people to chat with and helping them with their English.
