Hello!
I started learning Spanish in late 2018, and while I do have two TEFL certificates and spent a decade working in book publishing and other language-heavy fields, I think it's been the process of learning a new language that has given me the best insight into how to help other students. I've developed tricks and routines that have helped me get better at Spanish and I love sharing them with others.
I'm originally from Canada, but my family moved to the United States when I was 3. I have dual U.S.-Canadian citizenship, and believe deeply that immigrants strengthen whatever society they move to. I want to be a friend in your journey to improve your communication skills, whatever your reason might be.

I'm TEFL certified and have a firm grasp of methodology and grammar. I can teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced students on topics ranging from parts of speech, tenses, and pronunciation. I believe that patience, repetition, and focus are the most important traits to have when learning anything. Most skills come about as a result of doing something over and over again until the brain doesn't have to consciously focus on smaller details. I'll work with you to identify problem areas and go over them until they feel fluid and natural. Over time, it adds up!
