Personal introduction Hello my name is Shannon, I am originally from Ireland. I have 4 years experience teaching English. I have been teaching on Cambly for the past 2 years, previously I have worked as an English language assistant at a primary (middle) school in Madrid, Spain for one year. I was also a tutor for students (7 - 18 years old) on an online platform in the UK. I have a masters degree in Molecular Biology and am now working as a medical science researcher. I also love to travel, I have visited multiple countries in Europe, Africa and I have worked at a summer camp in America. I have also lived in Scotland, UK, New Hampshire, USA, and Madrid, Spain and I am currently living in Korea. My travelling has exposed me to many different cultures and languages and I have found that my communication skills have benefited from being friends with people from multiple different countries. I think my different experiences will help me to be a good teacher and I really hope to help you achieve you language goals. I hope to meet you soon

Teaching Style
I like to adapt my teaching style to match the needs of the person I am teaching and to make sure that they get the most out of the experience. I like to figure out what level the person is at/ what they are looking to get out of the lesson and do what I can to make it as fun and helpful as possible. I found learning languages to be very scary and difficult when I was at school and it made me want to make learning a language something to be excited about and to look forward to, rather than something that you are nervous about. I hope that my lessons will be something you will enjoy and a place that will be an encouraging and fun learning environment.
