Hello!

Hello! My name is Jen! I am from the United States. I am a native speaker and I would like to help guide you towards reaching your goals on this journey of learning English. I love meeting new people and learning about their cultures! I feel that I am best suited to work with students who are on an intermediate level and can hold a conversation. In my classes we use Engoo to read and discuss articles. You will learn new vocabulary, practice reading (I listen to help with pronunciation if needed), and then practice speaking when answering the discussion questions about the article. We both answer the questions to put our opinions out there, and we always have a good time with them. I love speaking about current events happening in the world. I look forward to speaking to you all, and hearing your opinions and thoughts on different things happening around the world. :) In my spare time I enjoy being crafty, painting, watching movies (on Netflix, Hulu), watching reality/regular TV (The Bachelor, The Good Doctor, Law and Order SVU) listening to music (I love most genres of music but prefer Hip Hop and Pop. I enjoy Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, 3Doors Down, Eminem, Missy Elliot, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, etc.), dancing, swimming, exercising, spending time with my family, going to the beach, traveling, and talking about current events. If we have any of the same interests it would be great to have a class with you! If we don't share the same interests I would still love to speak to you and learn about your culture and your interests! Let me help you reach your goals and be part of a rewarding experience. I am good at working with anyone the age of 10 years old and up, and I am especially good at working with teens/teenagers! I am a native English speaker who has grown up in Pennsylvania. I taught preschool for 5 years before joining Cambly. Before becoming a preschool teacher, I worked as a Medical Office Associate in a doctors office for 6 years. I have experience in the restaurant industry as well. As a teenager I worked at The sweetest Place On Earth...Hersheypark! If you have ever had or heard of Hershey Chocolate...that is where I am from! I have 3 children ( ALL BOYS!) who are ages, 11, 19, and 25! I love animals, listening to music, watching movies, playing board games, doing arts and crafts, dancing, being outside in the fresh air, camping, going to the beach, and I am a Harry Potter fan. I also have an interest in photography and fashion. My all time favorite show is the FRIENDS series!
