Hi, My name is Kelly. I am an English teacher, a writer, and mother of two. I lead writing circles, reading workshops, and tutor adults and children all over the United States and world. I started traveling overseas when I was eight, and have lived overseas twice. I love to travel, write, be creative, and be outside. I also love helping people learn, connect, and enjoy learning. I'd loved to talk with you or your child. I hope we can connect soon.
I live in the woods with my two children, husband, sister, and a house full of pets. I love being a mom and teacher. I also love time alone. Being in nature and water, writing, and traveling recharges me. I cherish my friendships and my relationships with my students.

I believe and use student centered learning. As the teacher, I am the guide; my students are the focus. It's important my students feel safe and comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes. Both are vital to helping us learn. I also believe being interested in what you are learning is important. I alway try to gear my lessons and conversations towards the student's interests and let them lead our discussion when they are able.
