I am married and my husband and I both teach ESL online. I have been teaching students of all ages for over 15 years. I have been teaching ESL online for over seven years. I love to teach! I am also a volunteer community tutor, teaching a variety of subjects, ranging from English as a Second Language (ESL) to Literature, Language Arts, History, and Philosophy. My ESL students are from China, Thailand, Lithuania, and Sweden. I love working with students from all over the world! In my spare time, I like to read, go bike-riding, and go on nature walks. I love playing with my cat too!

I am kind, patient, relaxed, and interactive. I have a neutral American accent and a great reading voice. During our conversations, my goal is to have you speaking in complete sentences in English as much as possible. Yes, I will correct your grammar and pronunciation as we go, but the big focus will be on building confidence in expressing yourself fully in English. I also use Engoo Daily News articles to help the students engage. That way, we are not just memorizing words, we are living in English! My favorite part about teaching is seeing a student's excitement and that "aha!" moment when they finally understand something new. I love being a part of that learning process.
