Hello!
Are you serious about learning English? I'm serious about teaching it...but we can still have some fun! I am a very friendly, professional English Teacher. Both my bachelors and masters degrees are in English Language Teaching. I enjoy teaching and I am well qualified for the job. I also teach in universities in the UK (I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy which means my teaching practice has been recognised as being at a level that is acceptable to UK universities). I have lots of experience with exam / test preparation (particularly IELTS). In addition to test preparation, I specialise in 2 different types of English language teaching: (1) English for Academic Purposes. Essential for students who will be using English to study at University. This includes learning about the 3 styles of writing needed to be successful at University, understanding academic style, and speaking skills for seminars & presentations. (2) English for Specific Purposes. This is often called 'Business English' and includes the skills needed for business meetings, presentations, and job interviews.
For fun, I like reading, travelling whenever possible, and spending time outdoors. New experiences are the best thing ever and I enjoy learning new things. I think good teachers need to be learning new things all the time!
