Teaching Experience: I have over 12 years of teaching experience. I have taught both in the classroom and one on one tutoring. Seeing a need in my community I created an "ESL Talk Time" at the East African Community Resource Center in Seattle WA. There I was able to teach exclusively in the classroom. Since having had my two boys in 2009 I now tutor one on one.

Interests: I love to blog, though I am not that great at keeping it up. Anything that gets me outside makes me happy I like to hike, ski, swim, garden, walk, play. In the house I like to cook, read books, and keep up with my writing. I have two young boys one six years old and one 9 months old. They keep me pretty active.

Teaching Experience: I am in my 8th month of teaching English in Colombia for young adults studying to become hotel managers or waiters. Before Colombia I was volunteering in Seattle, tutoring immigrants in English for the U.S. citizenship test.

Teaching Experience: I started tutoring in the early 1990s in my college's Writing Center. Since then, I've taught students as young as 9, all the way up to retirees who wanted to learn marketing as part of their second career. I'm a Washington State Certified Teacher in social studies, and a part-time adjunct at Seattle Central College in their BITCA (Business, Information Technology, & Creative Arts) department.

Interests: British literature, tea, science, and business (online marketing in particular).

Education: I got a BA in English (literature concentration) and a minor in history at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. I became a Certified Professional Coach through the Academy for Coach Training (now InviteChange) in 2001. In 2013, I finished a teacher certification program and received my Washington State teaching certificate for social studies.

Teaching Experience: When I studied abroad in Argentina in the fall last year (2013), I volunteered with a program called English Talk which held weekly meetings to aide and facilitate practicing conversations in English. I also was an English tutor at ACE Language Institute in Seattle for a group of Japanese students.

Teaching Experience: I'm currently an ESL tutor at Seattle Central College. I work one-on-one with college level students helping them with everything from grammar, reading comprehension, speaking, listening, academic writing and pronunciation. I have also taught English overseas for 5 years in Bali, Indonesia and most recently in El Salvador.

Interests: I love traveling, doing yoga, surfing, going to the movies with friends, eating out and trying new foods.

Teaching Experience: I have taught English as a second language at two international schools since I began teaching two years ago. I have also taught test skills classes and worked as a standardized test essay rater.

Interests: I love talking to people and learning about them. I like learning languages myself and am currently trying to further my studies of Japanese. In my free time I like to watch movies, listen to music, and occasionally swing dance with friends.
